Those are three words I believe in!
That's why I want to be your Member for Franklin.
I’ve seen how hard things are for mums, dads, kids, our veterans and their families trying to get help. I have been on both sides of the fence — as a patient, and a provider. I know how frustrating it is to not be able to get your sick kid in to see a GP. I’ve been there too, with my own.
For the past 20 years I‘ve helped the lives of others, but it feels like I’m fighting with one hand tied behind my back. Instead of more funding, we get more red tape. Instead of more staff, we get more excuses.
Nothing’s going to change until we change our politicians. That’s why I’m standing up.
Our politicians don’t get it. They haven’t been there. I have. And it’s why I’m asking you to back me — like Tasmanian lives depend on it.
Why I’m running
Wages aren’t keeping up with prices
Your bills are growing but your pay’s going nowhere. I work every day with people whose biggest fear is a rent increase. They’d have to choose between food and fuel. It’s time we lifted the rate, wages and invested in affordable low-cost housing.
Mental health is health
I’ve seen our mental health crisis up-close; both as a mental health professional, and personally. As a new mum, I struggled with postnatal depression. I felt how hard it is to get into a mental health professional, and when you do, it costs the earth. We should be able to get help when we need it.
Education
Half of Tasmanian adults are functionally illiterate. Our schools let them down. I will have two kids in Tasmanian schools; I want them getting a good education. All Tasmanian kids deserve the best start in life we can give them.
Care for our elders
When I became a carer for my father, I tried to set him up with My Aged Care. I’d worked in aged care, so I thought things would be breezy. Wow, was I wrong. Aged care is over-complicated and underfunded. Older Australians should be respected — not made to jump through hoops like children.

Chris is the kind of person I set up the Jacqui Lambie Network to support.
Chris’ job is to help people on their worst days.
Chris cares for people. Really cares. She wants people to get ahead.
I like the fact she’s a real person who has experienced the best and worst in life. She’s been a single mum and worked hard to support her kids and her father.
That’s not easy. Chris just gets it done.
Chris is a rare balance of someone that has book smarts but also has lived a normal life.
If you want a candidate that understands the challenges normal everyday people face — Chris is it. Not just because she helps people going through it, day-in, dayout. But because she’s been there too.
